Thanksgiving
For years we thought Don was allergic to turkey. He ate turkey a few times years ago and it made him really sick. About 5 months ago, he picked up some turkey lunch meat by mistake and ate it. He didn't get sick. When he realized that he could eat turkey without getting sick, all he wanted to eat was turkey. So this Thanksgiving was a big one, with a big turkey and all. The bird of the hour
Don and I had the chance to go away for a week to Orlando, FL. We chose the week of our 20th anniversary, November 5th, to go. We were able to stay in a beautiful villa. It was so nice to be able to relax and reconnect, just the two of us. We didn't have to rush or didn't have certain times to be places. We played minature golf several places, ate out all the time and poked around at different places. We really had a great time being together. The first part of the week we were there, wasn't real warm and sunny as I had hoped. But the last few days were. We hung out at the pool and got a little sun burnt. Don wasn't too thrilled that we had to fly to get there, but he survived. For the first hour of the flight down, he was very nervous! But after that, he was able to relax a little. The return flight wasn't quite as bad, but still not his favorite thing to do. All in all things went smoothly, for which we were grateful for.
Here are a few pictures of our time in Orlando.
